Subject: Made changes, such that: * trunk now passes "make distcheck" on OSX *
 verified that 'realtime' scheduling now works on systems with  
 'pthread_setschedparam' but not 'sched_setscheduler' (e.g. darwin);   the
 latter has priority if both are installed.
